words are forming
screaming in my brain
tearing at my head
burning in my ears

the world keeps turning
making me dizzy
physically sick
emotionally drained

i cant stand it

i tend to stick to authors that i already know, or have been highly reccomended. am a bit of a stick in the mud when it comes to books usually lol, which is part of the reason i thought up this thread, time to spread my literary wings as it were.

this morning i dreamt of walking in woods
dappled sunlight bathed my hair
as a warm breeze caressed my skin
i heard birds singing their sweet chorus

i followed a path to a shaded glen
and saw before me a vision of you
dressed in your finery on a rug of gold
with a feast spread before you to tempt the tongue

and as we sipped wine we talked of things to come
in this peaceful place anything seemed possible
reality was a lifetime away and yet
these vision faded into a dark fog

why did i have to return to my meagre existence
wake up dress and sit in contemplation
my heart knows that my dream will never be real
but at least i can remember and sigh.
