Wishpish you’re so far up your own as s I am surprise you can type.
Do you think people in Africa or Asian give a damn about animal rights?
I do wish the “pc wishy-washy” minority would stop telling the rest of us what to do.
I think what most people fail to realize is than our vegetables are 3 times the price in the rest of Europe, 100 times more expensive that outside Europe.
Now I know people who have good jobs can afford to buy the best food, but most of the people in the UK are living on low wages or up to their eyes in debt.
What we need is cheaper food, all the things you people are asking for will only push up prices and that will mean more food imports.
We shouldn’t be putting more regulations on our farmers that would only push up the price and costs of their products and force them out of business.
So by fostering the view that “food should be produced in an kind way to animals” in the long term you only opening the door for more food imports that will not be following or meeting our own standards.
Basically the only thing you are doing is putting British farms out of business, and importing more food from out side Europe.
Or is that what you sad people are after?
Wishpish:Lets help the 3rd world by buying food from them, but how do we increase their prices?
Sharogooner:Well we could close down all the farms in Britain that would force prices up!
But what about all those people who can’t afford the new higher prices?
Wishpish:Eating meat is wrong and if they can’t see it, well its hard luck, I am sure they will see that after a few weeks of eating nice healthy vegetables and its not like they have a choice once the prices goes up.
Anyway if they worked hard at school and didn’t have so many kids, they would be poor in the first place.
Sharogooner:
You’re so right, it’s the poor who make themselves poor, “it’s a life style choice”
10 January, 2008 at 12:05 pm #302969That is you completely, always thinking of the short term.
You need to look at the bigger picture and think about the next 20 years.
10 January, 2008 at 11:44 am #302967You do seem to be missing the point here.
So let me put it in simple terms.
If your local farmer can get a higher price sell this goods elsewhere, the price you are paying now will go up.
A shortage of the useable farmland, means the price of all food goes up.
Its call supply and demand.
It don’t matter where you live, farmers are in business and will sell their goods to the highest bidder
10 January, 2008 at 11:29 am #302965At the moment we can afford to do that smiley, but times are changing and I don’t know how long we can afford to continuo with those kinds of farming practices.
The affects of global warm are not instance.
I would say look at all the farmland that was flooded this summer and ask how that would affect the price of food if they happen every summer.
Prices have gone up and some vegetables are in short supply after the floods.
9 January, 2008 at 12:53 pm #302051Tommy can only talk to women on different continents to him, (the English ones know he’s full of crap.)
Lets face it there someone for everyone, and Tommy is going 2000 miles to be turn down and turn away again.
Saying that…….. are the Yanks that fussy?
Most of them of are has thick has to short planks.
Lets hope he gets a hand up his a s s at the airport when he gets there, it will be the only time someone gets in side this pants.
Remember this Tommy; you are going to a place without public transport and where everyone drives a car……… You can drive right?
9 January, 2008 at 9:36 am #302515You are should a f u c k ing nut wishpish
So its ok to eating something has long has its happy?
Its ok to eat something has long has its well treated and killed in the right way?
Tell me you are on drugs; tell me there are people looking after you?
I think we all know that nothing likes to be killed no matter how well its looked after or how happy its life is, when I think about it, the worst life is, the happier they are to die.
9 January, 2008 at 6:48 am #3025139 January, 2008 at 6:16 am #302512This is another attempt by our “wishy-washy” media to turn us all veggie.
I know its good tv and does attract good viewing figures, but face it, what they are saying is cheap food is bad food.
If you haven’t eating an in week, you would be surprise at how fast you would hunt and kill anything to stay a live.
Its ok if you can afford to spend £10 on a chicken, but most family on low incomes can’t, this is just another case of the middle classes in the media trying to force there views on the people who can’t afford them.
And I would ask anyone who thinks being a “veggie” is a good idea to go a “veggie” restaurant and try the food, its over price rubbish and uneatable.
Lets face it most people in the media now feel pushing immigration for many years has been a mistake and now they have moved onto this.
Yet again its just one more case of the “chosen view” forcing there misguide views on the rest of us.
If you’re that dumb that you can see a few “gay lovely” are manipulating you again, you shouldn’t own a tv.
See this for what it is, rating, ratings, RATINGS
8 January, 2008 at 10:25 am #302036Anita has you may know I am far to busy running a red-hot chicken p o r n site to run a chat site.
And after Channel 4 tv program last night, I will be spending time up dating my current staff to “free range”.
People can still watch and enjoy our 100’ of videos of the chicks in the bath or showering and having s ex, but now they can see them running “naked and free” in a dirty old field too.
Who knows viewing number and subscribers may go up?
But for the rest of you there is good news Big Red, our made rooster is back after a run in with the environmental health and has agreed to stop crowing at 630am.
I know we are all happy to see him back and lets hope he can stick with his agreement his time.
