Sharonooner what kind of heating do you have in your home?
Did you have an old economy 7 night meter in your old home? (white meter)
Was your bill at your old house paid up to date?
I think what has happen here is what happens to most new homebuyers; sharonooner has been bill for electric used by the house builder.
Has we all know you can’t move into a house without a meters, and there often in stalled months before you move in.
So all the builder’s plug there power tools, radios, microwaves etc, into household supply and use electric.
The supply company then read the meter about 3 months after you have move in and you get the bill. You will sometimes find they have charge you for fitting the new meter too.
Energy prices were high last winter and British Gas is not one of the cheaper suppliers.

15 September, 2007 at 2:34 pm #287634Un like you I am a realest.
Everyone feel this sentence is too short and unfair, but feel its not.
Of course down loading or view child p o r n is wrong and the police and courts do prosecute people for it.
But there has to be some kind of prospective, we can’t lock people up for years for minor crimes.
I can think of far worst crimes ageist children that this one, such the grandmother who use drugs and alcohol, then let a dangerous dog in the house because it was “cold”, which then ripped a 5 year girl old apart.
How many years did she get?
I don’t hear you all moaning about that one.
Have we all forgotten about the high number of children kill around due the high demand for organs in the west?
What about the “Torso in the Thames “ a few years back where some immigrates imported a child from Africa for human sacrifice?
Child abuse is an emotional subject, but the law is a cold-hearted beast.
10 months in prison is a very long time for first time offenders, I think sending him to prison to mix with the hard core paedophiles was a mistake.
15 September, 2007 at 1:36 pm #287629The answers a simple one Pebbles, watching an act and taking part in an act if different.
Viewing any martial may affected what you think, but would not necessity cause you to break the law.
Has for a lack of sympathy for the victims of abuse, most of the time, the victim knows and trusts the abuser.
Some victims go on to become abusers
So is it a case of sympathy for the victim now, hatred for the abuser later?
You need to make up your mind if a victim of abuse is still a victim after he/she abuses.
15 September, 2007 at 12:23 pm #287625We all saw videos of 9/11 attacks on tv.
Using Sharongooner argument are all going to start bombing campaigns?
Should everyone who saw the video be lock up?
And what about the victims…………?
15 September, 2007 at 11:44 am #287623I think you all need to put this case into context.
If you hit a child with a car and the child dies, you will get about 6 months.
If you hit a child and break the skin you are looking at 18 months to 3 years.
To make allegations that Mr Lanhgam would turn into a child kidnapping murdering rapist after viewing literature and images on the internet is crazy.
Are we going to say next that reading a book by the Marquis De Sade turn you to sadism?
You talk about the victims of these people; well most of them are from overseas and in countries where such sites are legal.
In the EEC such sites have been banned for many years.
I do believe the public money use to keep Mr Lanhgam in prison could have been better spend on things like better detection of such sites.
I for one am getting a bit sick of hearing mothers moan on about paedophiles and at the same time fatting there kids up and telling them its ok to play video games all day.
I am sick of parents parking on double yellow lines outside schools or using drugs in the home.
Both are forms for child abuse under the current law, but rarely enforced.
The way the public are applying the label “paedophile” is ridiculous and could now be use to describe anything to do with children: from someone watches their child in the bath to hug from granddad.
I will say it again, Mr Lanhgam didn’t kill anyone, he didn’t abuse anyone, he didn’t produce anything.
Such cases are close to dangerous line where the courts and the public seem to feel that thinking about and viewing material are the same has committing the act.
The days of the through police grow closer by the hour.
