Ooooo I was playing a computer like this one last week.
Its one of the old ones.
Just for anita, there were people trying to set up wireless on there home pc some years ago and there was a few posts about it and windows SP2
But I am sorry to tell you this Johnboy but there is no easy answer.
When you borught your computer it was the year when they stopped giving out windows disk with new pc’s.
John can you now do this.
We maybe able to find you a recovery disk on line.
We did cover installing “windows service pack 2” on these boards some years ago.
I can’t find the post now.
From what I remember you can’t just down load it and install it.
You have to down load it on to an usb memory stick then installed it from that.
Maybe Pb can find the old post and put the answer on here.

He clearly has an old computer, maybe a Athlon 600 with less than 128mb of ram.
The thing about old computer and Microsoft is they will not updated or load in any new Microsoft programs if Windows think there a virus.
You should know that.
lets go back to the crap
Computer has a virus, thats why its playing up, you need to run an-virus and fix that first.
Before doing anything else.
Its the only reason I can think of why you can’t up grade.
