So let me get this right.
We are now paying for “anyone” to attend university, regardless of merit or academic ability?
So I have been wrong all these years?
I always thought the whole point of a university education was that young people would gain skills and a good base for business, law or medical training.
Now it seems anyone can go and they do.
Which only reinforces my belief that education standards are now worthless and pointless.
Has a employer I must say, that anyone who has no work history is unemployable.
Anyone from a council house with kids, over 30 and a single parent is unemployable.
Anyone from a 3rd rate university and a trivial past mark is unemployable.
Awww does that sound unfair?
Remember we don’t have to be fair, at a job interview we have an employee profile, if you don’t match it, we don’t have to see you.
Maybe “geordiebird” can explain what she is going to do with her degree and why the taxpayer has just spent £30,000 per year educating her?
