What a fantastic time was had by all 8) . We stayed at Inveruglas on Loch Lomond and it was bloody marvellous! Full view of the Loch from our terrace, magnificant view of huge mountains from kitchen window. Visited Inverary, Oban, Balloch, Stirling and Helensburgh (only for the Co-op!). Drove through various other places such as Luss and I’ll be buggered if I can remember the others! But oh my, by far the best bit is getting to these places, the scenery is breath taking. I’ve been to Scotland many times, but it still amazes me. Mary, think I passed your wigwams too! And everytime we drove past Firkin Point I chuckled!! Passed the De Vere one as well lucky, don’t think they would have took too kindly to the little un and his weaning  .

It’s a far cry from the holidays I used to have BC (before child  ), but ordering Haggis from a restaurant to take away was interesting  . Went to the Oyster Bar on Loch Fyne, timed it so little one didn’t need feeding…..yeah, right. Anyway, we survived, so did the other diners I think! Oh, seen Lorne in the supermarket as well, and I’ll be buggered if I could remember what it was?!?!?! Just remember there was a post once. Anyway, enough of food, I put on bloody 8lbs in a week

There was so many things to see, so little time. But above all, relaxing, peaceful and beautiful.

Both being single and in a relationship have there good and bad points. I settled don when I was quite young and subsequntely we drifted apart after 7 years. After that I spent the next seven years working and playing hard. It was great 8) I counted it as the best time of my life, great career, decent salary, nice home, nice car, 2 hols a year etc etc. But sometimes it could be so lonely. I hid behind a ‘I have all this’ mentality, ‘I don’t need anyone in my life’. Then along came hubby and bambino and the rest they say is history. Wouldn’t change my seven years that I was single, but wouldn’t wish to go back to them.
