Agree with Drivel here. Although it may be very very difficult, try to go back to work and put on a brave face. From your version of events, they have clearly breached rules as there has been a lack of consultation but also lack of procedures being followed, i.e. if it is the case that people can’t work with you, where’s the evidence and where is the opportunity to improve etc etc.

However, being on the sick is hurting you more than it is hurting them. Your confidence may start to suffer and if you are off long term it will make it more and more difficult to return, plus you’ll have far too much time on you hands to think about things and things will seem far worse than what they really are.

It’ll be hard, but grit your teeth and get back to work as soon as you can. Life at work is never easy, but these situations are sent to try us. Try also getting back to work before your sick allowance runs out too, then it doesn’t look like you’ve just returned because the money has run out  .

    Good luck.

I always appreciate people who put alot of effort into their posts. Think I must have a short attention span, I used to get bored after writing one paragraph, tend to stick to one liners now, and apart from that, I’m not witty enough

Anyway, that made me laugh, Soulie, Sting is from here too, and Kate Adie, she could report on the event

Just talk about work Pete

My fav chat up line that I’ve heard, and it’s the simplist is ‘Can I kiss you’. An if GB’s reading this she’ll understand why…the blokes up this way tend to just lurch at you after a few pints :? (hmmmm…..unless it’s just the places I frequent  ).

Anyway……….it worked, and after a few more snogs later we’re getting married
