I think kids give and get unconditional love from a good parent, Ms K.

Children aren’t pets, though, so the unconditional love comes with a price tag – they get really stroppy, especially at 2, especially as they become adolescent, and even into youth. A lot of parents behave very badly, and many kids who grow have to look after their parents…[Read more]

I don’t love animals, as I’ve never had a pet.

I only loved children when I had them. Never occurred to me otherwise.

I think the point is made by Ms K – each to their own. I’d rather someone who didn’t have a pet than someone who had a pet and neglected it.
