I was reading recently of a lad who reluctantly took his trousers off for the school showers, revealing that his parents hadn’t been able to afford underwear for him. The lad just sat and cried as all the kids hooted and jeered..they must have been children of some of the people in teh chatroom

Poundland was getting a bit expensive for many people in the more depressed parts of the North-East. I think they were thinking of putting in 50p shops.

Really..I went into a Poundland shop last year and saw a couple of OAPs looking worried as they were trying to figure out what they couldn’t afford. Was genuinely sad.
