When you factor in the savings from everything, child benefit, housing, sickness benefits, not to mention all the fraud that goes on with these, then deduct all the offices, staff rent, it will be a considerable saving… I feel.

Your feelings do not reflect reality. I will assume you support UBI as defined in the BBC article linked previously, £10,000 a year for everyone under 55. From the demographic information I could find in a quick search there are about 49,000,000 people in the UK under 55. The article does not claim that immigrants, or other non-citizens are excluded. This is a total cost of £490,000,000,000 (£490 billion, 0.49 trillion). The Guardian reported that in 2013 (This should be done using newer figures) total welfare spending was £159 billion, £74 billion of which was for pensions, which I assume would still be paid out as the UBI is capped at 55 years old. Making the effective cost of the current welfare £85 billion. NHS funding is expected to be £124 billion in 2018.

This makes the total savings £209 billion, £281 billion less than my rough estimation of the cost of UBI.

This does not account for money raised by privatising the NHS because that is only a short-term contribution, decisions like this should always be considered in the long term.

UBI is usually proposed as a replacement for social programs, in the UK this would require the scraping of all benifits, and total privatisation of the NHS. But even this would not come close to funding UBI.

Where do you think the rest of the money will come from?

By the way, nobody mentioned boobs, that was you :) I think for feminism to work, you need to step aside from bringing up body parts, we are all equal

I’m not a feminist, I don’t want feminism to work.

    women should be respected

Respect is earned, not given because you have boobs.

I didn’t say it was disrespectful.

    She’s talking about me

who are you to judge whats disrespectful or not and Daniel would have loved it

Who are you to judge what Daniel would have liked?

and yes most of them were family or friends with a few community ppl showing there respects in a way the family had asked ppl to do

Then it is what I said about it being potentially disrespectful does not apply, as I said it might not.

I don’t think its disrespectful, we all have our favourite dance move, this was this little boys. I think its nice for all the people remembering him in that way. No one is going out to disrespect a little boy, on the contrary people are doing the opposite, showing there thinking of him.

It’s disrespectful if they didn’t know hum, that would just be virtue signaling. Using his death as a tool to promote themselves.

But I don’t know who these people are, if they knew him then I am 100% supportive of it.

Even though I have no idea what a dab is still

Pixie, since apparently you are a femminist, do you think this is objectification of men? Regardless, is objectification of men a bad thing? If no, then why is objectification of women bad?

I genuinely want to read your response to this.
