8 September, 2013 at 2:51 am #499073Just before I tell my story… You bought condoms before a FIRST day rogue?! :O ….
Anyway about three years ago I joined a dating website for a short while I gog talking to a guy called joe who seemed “normal” but it was only my second date and my first became a really good friend so I went into it with loads of positivity and didn’t realise that some people actually lie about stuff? Anyway on this Joes profile it said he was 5’10” I met him at a pub in west Didsbury in Manchester that was pretty lively and very public as you should and told a friend where I was etc…. I got out of my car and walked up to the pub I saw this guy hanging around the entrance and guessed it was this Joe …. As I walked nearer he seemed to get smaller? By the time k reached him his ACTUAL height was about 5’3″?! (I’m 5’5″?!)
I said hi (annoyed that he’d lied) and commented “bloody hell have you shrunk in the shower?”) he blushed and said oh I got the height wrong on the profile and couldn’t change it back… (Yeah right!)
Even though I was a tad peed off I agreed to have a drink with him in the pub… I am a confident sociable girl and don’t get nervous and find it easy to chat to people I’ve just met without any problems but my God he was soooo dull!!! Infact he was as dull as a row of tents I was so bored I began to read the beer mat!!
I went to the loo and texted my friend “he’s kinda small and very boring?!” He texted back ” just pat him on the head and say ” goodnight dopey!” Lol! Yeah very helpful thanks!!
In the end after 45 minutes on the date I decided to call it a night …
Even though he’d lied I’m an honest girl and didn’t want to be cruel so I told this Joe that I thought we had little in common and not much of a connection even as friends and that I wouldn’t be thinking about a second date he seemed to agree and walked me to my car around the corner…
I was about to say thanks for s nice evening blah blah when he suddenly lunged at me for a full on snog, so in my panic I kinda stepped back and turned my head at which point we head butted each other !!!! It bloody hurt too!!!! I said “wtf are you doing?! I thought I’d made myself clear?!” He said ” I think you’re really nice and thought you’d give me a chance” at which point I got in my car and drive off cringeing all the way home… I called my friend from the car on speakerphone to tell the whole embarrassing tale expecting sympathy but was just met with loud guffaws of laughter!… Gee thanks!
Moral of the story don’t bloody lie the trust has gone, and always bring a crash helmet!!!!!! :-|8 September, 2013 at 2:24 am #520147I didn’t think you looked like a teapot lol :P

6 September, 2013 at 10:48 pm #520203It always upsets me when people say that it’s what’s inside that counts at the end of the day and its not a cliche and anyway everyone’s gift is that they’re an individual there’s nobody else on the WHOLE planet is like you? Of all the billions of people? Don’t you think that’s amazing? You should embrace that really :) it’s only media images of “perfection” in mags and on the tv that make us think that what we are naturally is wrong makes me angry I know all about it having worked in an industry that is looks based
6 September, 2013 at 10:44 pm #520143Yeah I grew up around there longsight levenshulme and burn age have great childhood memories of growing up as a kid and being really happy platfields park over the summer going to the West Indian centre to play the steel bands ahh those were the days :) you’re probably younger than me I’m in my forties always thought the film that reminds me of those days with the clothes and fashion was east is east!
