News article filed by BNP news team

The Liberal Democrats recently plumbed the depths – even for one of the old corrupt parties that misgovern this country.

There is a small local council by-election taking place for Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council in Warwickshire, for Bede ward which is in Bedworth (polling day 8th February). Our local unit, ably led by Chris Turner, is putting in a hard working little campaign on behalf of our candidate Alwyn Deacon. This unit has never fought a by-election before and they have never even previously contested a seat in Nuneaton and Bedworth, but they are putting in a decent first effort.

Their campaign has clearly been good enough to put the opposition into a tail spin. On the evening of Tuesday 30th January a meeting was called in the Edward Street Day Centre, in neighbouring Nuneaton. This is in the heart of the local Muslim community. The purpose of the meeting was to organise opposition to our election campaign. The fact that these premises are run by Warwickshire County Council is in itself a disgraceful and illegal interference with then electoral process.

A very senior local Liberal Democrat attended this meeting and said openly that as we had run an excellent campaign the only option open to them was to spread a false story to the police and to the local press to the effect that one of our activists had spat in the face of one of their canvassers.

Unluckily for the Liberal Democrats in their revolting attempt to pervert the course of justice and trample on the principles of democracy, some of the 15 people who attended this squalid little meeting were so disgusted by these anti-democratic tactics that from attending an anti-BNP meeting they turned 180 degree and came to tell us what they had heard. We in turn made sure the local police were aware of this information, only to be told that they already knew about it as they had an undercover policeman attending the meeting!

Immediately after this a self important website set up by the Bedworth Liberal Democrats to host chat and comments about the by-election was closed down.

This episode, in a quiet part of England, shows in clear relief the squalid political environment in which we have to operate and which it is our task to clean up.

A SMOKER was refused cigarettes at a Cambridge store because the Muslim shop assistant said it was against her religion to sell tobacco.

A 31-year-old woman, who asked not to be identified, was shocked when she attempted to buy a pack of 20 cigarettes at the WH Smith store in Market Street and was turned down.

She said: “I asked for a pack of 20 Lambert & Butler and the woman behind the desk asked me if they were cigarettes.

“When I said they were she told me that it was against her religion to sell them – I couldn’t believe my ears.

“I rang up the manager to complain and he said the shop assistant has to ask someone else to serve them for her if a customer wants tobacco.

“If she had just said, I can’t serve you, then that would have been fair enough, but the thing that really annoyed me was the way she gave me a lecture as well.

She started saying she doesn’t agree with smoking, that it kills you – I was really gob-smacked.”

When contacted by the News, the store’s assistant manager, who refused to give her name, said: “It is true that Muslims can’t sell cigarettes – I used to be Jehovah’s Witness and I wouldn’t on religious grounds either.”

She said the customer should have realised the shop assistant was a Muslim, and would not sell her tobacco, because she was “sitting there in her full robes”.

Asked why the store had someone who would not sell tobacco working behind the till, she said: “It is against the law to discriminate against people on religious grounds“.

However, a leading Muslim denied the claim it was against Islam to sell tobacco, and said he had Muslim friends who smoke.

Asim Mumtaz, president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in Cambridge, said: “I don’t think there is any basis for refusing to sell cigarettes.

“Islam, like most religions, is against anything that injures health or the body, but there is no ban on cigarettes or on smoking.

“The holy Koran is quite specific about intoxicants, alcohol and other drugs which cause a person to lose control are forbidden, but cigarettes are not forbidden so I am surprised by this.”

Farce! Tobacco is a drug, so it is forbidden.

Anyone wana argue that multiculturalism is a good thing?

WHY are you guys voting for multiculturalism?

Our once wonderfull society is turning into a nightmare. Multicultural political parties are going to bring this country to its knees.

    YOU decide YOUR future.

Yeah, for the ones that abide by those laws. Do we know for sure that they do, or do they bend them and say only the women have to?!

I know a few who drink and they are blokes.

I work alongside a muslim from time to time, he hates pork, its against his religion, but has a beer and loves it…i told him the devil plays with his head when he wakes with hangover :D

I do think Islam has the idea on punishing for this, chopping their hands off!! Cant drink with your feet…

and dont simply blame it on muslim shopkeepers lol

bargain booze, threshers, victoria wine spar etc all ran by white people where i live….and still the kids can get drink there!

There is no doubt, that non muslims sell alcohol to underage people, BUT, were talking about a muslim man who didn’t explain that shopkeepers sell alcohol to underage children, whilst saying it is “forbidden” in islam.

Why didn’t he say there needs to be a major crackdown on shopkeepers (some muslim) selling alcohol to underage children?

He explained, then showed us white people, saying they are killing themselves…whilst being obeasely heart attack material himself.

One wonders whether he’d feel comfortable watching a Jew fitness trainer on national television explaining it is part of his religious belief system that obeasity is wrong…

He’d probably claim “racism”…not antagonistic racism.

I mean retired english players like Martin Keown, Lee Dixon, Tony Adams, Ian Wright, Ray Parlour, David Seamon, Nigel Martin etc etc etc, the list goes on.

I thought you meant the youth.

Arsenal dont pay their wages anymore, and they still continue to praise his work.

They might be being honest and truthfull and/or hoping he’ll help them get into football again.

He dont pay the players, so it really doesnt matter what the players opinions are, the club pays them.

Who decides whether a player gets paid?

The only disgruntled player we have had was Cole. Shame about his injury this week.

When fit, best LB in the world.

As I said………. I keep the politics out of my love of footy so dont you do that quoty thingy on me again……… save that for serious posts lol!!!!!!!
