she is cut up about it, my opinion is, that maybe her boss is’nt the friend she cracked up to be, she is in tears now… and not only has her boss been insulting her but her ex boyfriend has too who is also friends with her… she is now to the stage where she thinks she will refuse this new job for the sake of keeping the peace

I think thats daft… what would you do? and how would you as a friend deal with it, do i step in and try and help and speak to her boss, or leave her to it

to me, she is getting bullied and part of me wants to get involved because this should’nt happen, regardless of how hurt her boss may feel

I would say that the problem stems from the fact that your friend’s boss became not just an employer but a friend; and I imagine that she is angry and lashing out because she is hurt. She probably feels that the friend she has grown close to, has somehow betrayed her by leaving her to go elsewhere. In time, if she is a true friend she will understand why your chum wants to improve her financial situation. I think there is no going back now..time for your friend to move onwards and upwards..to dry her tears and look forward to happier times.

That nagging temper got the better of me again. Its a trait I’m famous for. Unfortunately in this electronic age the sea isnt enough to keep me at bay. Maybe I should learn that my opinion on a subject isnt worth a donkey’s dangler and I should be thankful that people here have coloured balls to juggle with thus keeping folks entertained whilst I drone on and on ad infinitum..

Whoa there..I haven’t even mentioned your relationship with Fastcars, and for what it’s worth, I believe you when you say you’re only chums..your loyalty to each other is admirable. And illness may not give me the divine right to ‘slag people’ as you put it, but it certainly gives me a perspective on the subject of infirmity and death. With regard to fasty..as Ruby pointed out..he started the animosity..and it would appear that both of you are determined to continue it. Why?
Oh and btw, I don’t dislike you pats,, don’t know you well enough for that. Amazing you can dislike me on similar ignorance though.

I think you’ll find that I mentioned being ill in context and in answer to your “morphine’s a great experience” comment. I don’t expect you to care one way or the other about my situation, I leave that to my friends and family, who will testify that self-pity of all things, isn’t my way; hence the refusal to give up or to acknowledge that physical limitation can be a reason for a lesser life. I have a wonderful life, Pats, which is why I feel so passionately about not letting go of it without a bloody good fight.
I WILL say this much..no amount of venom or malice on your part will ever entice me to wishing you the harm or ill you evidently hold for me. I genuinely mean it when I say that I wish you..as I did Matty..a long, healthy and happy life.
