The very idea of a mass meet fills me with repulsion; it would be akin to finding oneself in a room full of auditionees for The Rocky Horror Show.
16 September, 2008 at 9:41 am #371852Announcement for all nosy feckers putting their giant beaks in uninvited..
The Shazza and I are cool and sorted.

16 September, 2008 at 8:03 am #59302Guilty! Yes I can knit, but only in straight lines, and I tend to get bored with it easily. When I was a teenager I knitted myself an Arsenal scarf (I was a devout fan) but got bored after three panels..it was the shorted scarf in history..two red stripes with one white in between ’em.
What’s more…I wore the bugger to a Glasgow Rangers/Arsenal friendly. Well..I say ‘wore’ but it was more a case of waving it like a flag, which was pretty inadvisable considering I was with my brother and his mate, up the Rangers side of the stadium. I dunno why, as my bro supports Celtic.
Howsoever..I waited around the stadium afterwards and got lucky..I met Charlie George, Pat Rice and Alan Ball.
I’ve still got my signed programme…ooh and I stroked Charlie’s lovely long hair.Did you bunk off school or were you a model pupil?
16 September, 2008 at 7:54 am #148644No..but I had a pet caterpillar in a matchbox with a nasturtium leaf, and was inconsolable when it went into a cocoon and never came out of it.
Did you ever stick playing cards to the spokes of your bicycle to make it sound like a real engine when you cycled?

If it was unnecessary, it was no more so than a thread intended to mock one of the nicest and most genuine people on these boards!!!!
And I’ve got plenty more where that came from! :wink:16 September, 2008 at 12:12 am #371832Yes, you’re quite right as ever, fasty. in fact my tongue is so far up Pete’s backside that he uses it for a face flannel of a morning.
And Sharon, I know you mean well, but giving Pete a helpful assessment regarding his posting is more than a trifle patronising. Would you care for someone to do that to you..really?
I think that Pete has behaved with the greatest restraint, given the provocation from people who know fu/ck-all about him or his circumstances.
