Richard Branson has been bucking the trend of public and media opinion ever since he signed the Sex Pistols. He has the foresight to see through all the media hype and judge situations on the facts rather than the gossip and has made a tidy profit out of showing these people up for what they are.
Maybe he should buy a share in this place and make a few posts. It wouldnt be long before he had the JC sheep eating from his hand and applauding him for a job well done.

Well of course I can smell a rat fasty. She refused to answer 40 questions……why? Allegedly, the McCanns are totally innocent and have “nothing to hide”. This whole case is unnamed sources. The Portugese Police cant comment on it officially.

Yes this may be so … when there are no ”official” releases of information then the Press get digging and glean any titbit they can from ”unnamed sources”. I guess that this is one of the less pleasant spin offs from the Portuguese secrecy laws.

But overall what is most interesting is how the Media have totally changed their stories. Initially and for many many weeks it was poor McCanns – abducted daughter – mass appeals for her to be found etc etc.

Look at the Media now and it is all focussed on the possibility that they did it themselves – no more poor old McCanns.

Thing is that the reporters usually know a whole lot more than they can actually publish (for fear of libel or defamation) – so they go round a subject and hint rather than state.

My feeling still is that the Media ”know” a lot more than they are prepared to publish right now and any residual doubts that I may have had have long since vanished.

I think that the pair of them have manipulated the Media and the public in general for their own ends and the revenge of the Media when it comes is going to be something to behold.

Maybe the media are using your wealth of knowledge on the subject as their benchmark… :wink:

The kids will be drugged anyway so theres no need to worry about them so they meet and start the bumping of uglies, during which (and this isnt overly relevant either way) either its discovered maddy is dead from either the drugs or perhaps vomiting whilst drugged and not waking up or coughing it out thus asphixiating, or she wakes up and an accident happens whilst trying to hurriedly rush her back to bed before she realises what she is seeing

At which point Kate points out the situation, and that IF she were to claim that she came back and found the guide there alone he would have a VERY hard time proving his innocence, or even in the case of her accidentally being injured and killed claiming it was him that did it which people would more readily believe with him being not only not the mother, but also a man he is forced into helping her hide the body to protect both of them

So its decided the door is left open and he disposes of the body while she goes back to the party (none of which would be hard for a sociopath to see as the best damage limitation and formulate

The door being left open leaves the chance a burglar might happen along and steal from the unlocked apartment thus leaving some evidence of a third person and shifting any reasonable suspicion from the parents namely Kate, if one doesnt come along randomly searching for holiday makers who leftin a rush leaving the door open she is merely in the same situation anyway so its a win win chance

Later she comes back to make sure all traces are cleared up and the body is gone and then runs back to alert everyone that maddy is missing

Just highlighting a few dots here that niggle me about this

The guide cant account for his activities hence still being a suspect, so could possibly have been meeting Kate for a pre arranged holiday boinkfest as anything as kate also has times she wasnt accounted for either when checking on the kids

I think most people might have first thought Maddie had let herself out of the apartment and could just have wandered off looking for her mum and dad when she realised they werent there as kids would want them on awaking mostly anyway

So they seem to have jumped to the conclusion too quickly considering the door was open to begin with which they knew, so I would have expected more time spent searching the complex first to find her before notifying the police, but I dont recall a mention of any search, let alone a long one

IF on the other hand they could so easily jump to the conclusion she was abducted, I think that would suggest it was a prevalent thought of a possibility and in which case they never would have left the door unlocked as you usually have several keys, and even if there is only one anyone checking on maddy could have taken the key to get in and then brought it back with them rather than leaving the door unlocked

If it wasnt a prevalent thought, then I think as I said a long search would have ensued on the prevalent thought being she had simply wandered off and would be found shortly with some walking and shouting of her name

The addition of the guide would lend local knowledge making a fairly local but good hiding place for the body being known fairly straight forward, and if the DNA evidence has any validity whatsoever only kate would have needed to have had the car and could have moved the body with the help of the guide

1) Things that I think should also have been looked at but which I havent heard mentioned are whether they ALWAYS left the kids alone whilst on holiday and how frequent these meals were

2) if infrequent or if it was the first, whether one or both of the Mcanns suggested the kidless meal

3) whether they had used the childminding service previously whilst there

4) the history of the rented car, whos idea it was to get it, whether kate ever went out alone in it, and as it wasnt one linked to them when first rented who exactly collected it and was there any delay between collection and arriving back at the room as that would be the ideal time for it to have been used as an unrecognised body transporter to a better hiding place

So there ya go, thats my more preferred theory so far for what its worth
