I live in a town where its still possible to leave your front door wide open while you nip out to buy some shopping…. a town where you can leave your car radio in an unlocked car without somebody claiming it as theirs… and yes… believe it or not… a town where people can leave babies safely in prams outside shops while they pop in to get some last minute things on the way home. Its hard to imagine nowadays but we ALL lived in places like this not so many years ago.
One day its gonna happen though…. one day somebody is gonna shatter the lifestyles of those that live in my town by carrying out some unimaginable act.
BUT WHO IS TO BLAME WHEN IT DOES HAPPEN?
The people in the community for putting their faith in a good honest decent existence or the bas*tards thats shattered that faith and any trust they ever had in mankind?24 August, 2007 at 2:21 pm #279168@abitofmary_j wrote:

What you did, do or claim to have done elsewhere is a bit irrelevant TM, what I WAS responding to WAS what you had written which stands or falls on its own merits and isnt changed either in intent, meaning or irrelevance to THIS topic by anything else
Such a statement WOULD have been a valid contribution AFTER someone had (as some probably will) made such a comment, but nobody did and might never have done
And even if they did it would still be THEIR opinion anyway, their view, something you were argueing SHOULD be allowed to be stated without “bullying” on another thread as I recall, or is that just YOUR view you think deserves that courtesy?
However to most people this is nothing at all like the other thread in any way shape or form not leastly because of the age difference irrespective of anything else so I wouldnt have really expected a comment like the one you are claiming to be trying to pre-empt really and I dont think you would either if you were being honest with yourself so I still stand by my initial comment that it had no place or relevance here other than being at least partly driven by your obvious frustration on the other thread
Right or wrong, and lets face it, even if right you’d hardly admit that. Its MY opinion I posted and one I still wholeheartedly stand by
But thats all I have to say on this matter so as not to divert this thread any further (apologies to goony for my initial diversion too btw)
My first thoughts about this case where similair to Tokens comment. Where were the parents and what role did they play in all of this. It turns out that on this occassion the parents have been found “not guilty” by our ever so politically correct but mega hypocritical public. It just goes to show though… things like this can happen to any kid at anytime. In fact it can happen to any ADULT at anytime so instead of always looking to find a scapegoat to pile the guilt onto for these horrendous kind of crimes why dont you spend more time on concentrating on the actual perpetrators of such events

i’ve just seen it from the other side thats all, seen the lies women are capable of, just because they feel a bit bitter about there ex’s finding somone new… not saying its always the case… anyway.. less of this,, time to go to work, and earn a living
Never a truer word spoken. Women (in general) are masters at sticking the knife in and twisting it in whilst whistling innocently and acting the complete angel in public.

23 August, 2007 at 10:54 pm #235286The reason managers like Sam Allardyce, Harry Redknapp, and Martin O’Neil would never be offered the job is because they wanna run things THEIR way and not be suffocated by the all powerful and controling FA. Until this changes we will never have a world beating side.

The England team will always be a load of cr*ap all the time the FA see fit to run the team using a puppet as their spokesperson/scapegoat. Its about time the FA appointed a manager that ran things HIS way and not the way the FA would like him to.
There are a lot of what I would call “hard men” in football, but they all get broken down in the end, especially if they were to take the toughest job of all. Im thinking Sam Allardyce, Stu psycho Pierce, Ian (my son aint as good as me but I love him) Wright, and whats that other managers name, the one who swears all the time (div 1 or 2) who am I thinking of????? help!
Fry?
