Y’know, i’ve been mulling over what fastcars said (above) …. and he has a really good point.
In general women have smaller hands than men, which makes them biologically more suited to carrying out the more simple domestic tasks, like washing, ironing, cleaning & cooking …. not to mention changing the nappies on babies.
Men on the other hand (no pun intended) are better equipped as hunter/gatherers and therefore are less suited biologically to carrying out simple domestic chores.
Let’s face it, show the average woman a harmless mouse and they squeal and leap on top of a chair to escape it. Not exactly ideal characteristics for bringing home the meat eh?
However, show a man an ironing board and a pile of washing and he buggers off down to the pub. Perfect characteristics for a bit of social networking leading to the discovery of fresh meat to bring home.
Proof if ever it was needed that women should know their place and not try to emulate the male role in society.
I’m afraid I’m going to have to disagree with you on your last point PB.
We are constantly having it drummed into us about how the female of the species is the stronger of the two sexes but when they are put into a position of having to earn a decent income to be able to support the family then they fail miserably.
They bleat on about not needing us males and how they could function perfectly without us, but truth be known their main function in life is to clean up after, and feed, the head of the family.
Send them out to work I say…. let us stay at home and take care of the housework. I mean… we can all nip quickly round the house with a hoover…. chuck some clothes in the washing machine…. sit in JC all day chatting and posting on message boards and then pop a ready meal in the microwave for when the wife gets home and claim what a busy day we have had and how we have been rushed off our feet…….. cant we.
