Well….. as was predicted…. it fooking pissed it down lol. In fact the rain started about 5 mins after the parade started and fook me did it rain!!!!!
Being the well ard bas/tards we are over here the parade went ahead regardless.. :D although the English in me did force me to watch it from under a huge umbrella lol.. 8-[ .
We trashed the idea of going to the after party as we wud ave ended up looking like creatures from the blue lagoon so we retired to a cafe come club type of place that was playing some kicking house tunes. By this time the illegal substances had taken control of the situation and it was hard to believe that we was all strutting our stuff at 4 pm in the afternoon when normally we would be just finishing our weekend errands and going home for some tea. :shock:
We ended up going to a couple of other bars but by this time I didnt know my ar/se from my elbow. I do remember flying past the planets of Pluto and Mars somwhere during the evening and I also remember admiring how beautiful Saturns rings looked from up close but apart from that the rest of the evening is a blur.
I dragged myself home at about 1 o’clock this morning which was much earlier than I expected but by this time my body had given up the will to move and my mouth had forgotten how to talk so I wasn’t being the best of company.
In fact I was starting to look like one of the inmates from the film “One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest” so I sloped off home to save myself any more embarresment…. :oops:
