this to me is the personification of jc
Gloria has bared her soul in this post i can only applaud her honesty
Her summing up of individuals is not quite accurate except in one case she was spot on
My view on why people use chatsites is they are lonely the married people the happily shacked up or whomever can protest all they like. The people i am talking about are the heavy users you can dress it up anyway you like the time spent on here is to escape the humdrum of your surroundings its fantastic escapism.
The vitriol is another since my wife and i parted so many of the jc conscience have made constant reference to this in what can only be described as gloating gleeful malice kick someone when their down mentality. That never has and never will bother me my marriage was over before JC not because of it.The fact that i now see more of my son than i did when i was with my wife is a blessing i cannot even begin to tell how delighted i am with that.My wife and i have a fantastic relationship we get on really well there is no bitterness no regrets to the point we are going on holiday together this year.
I would like to thank gloria for opening my eyes to me , for that i will be forever grateful. She is the most compassionate person i have ever met .
Good luck
BSG at you cringing at this
I agree, and if someone on the internet has helped you come to terms with your life then it must be good must’nt it?
For seven years Dagger has been using this site and for seven years he has been informing people of how sad they are for being here. Most people in that time have been and gone. Moved onto different or more interesting things. The fact he is still here says more about his own life than it does about anybody elses.
Your problem is Dagger… you compare everybody else in this place to your own failings. Yes there are a lot of lonely people out there but there are a hell of a lot of people who use this place for other reasons as well. Its a form of entertainment… a replacement for television, which earlier generations have spent years of their lives sat in front of. People like to read books… listen to music… take advantage of all the other electronical devices that are available to entertain. And then there are those… who, after a long day at work, or days out spending time with their partners/family/friends, like to spend a few hours of an evening relaxing and having fun online. Is that so wrong?
You have spent a huge part of your life sitting behind your computer. More than most infact. To the point were your online friends have become involved in, and helped shape and influence your real life. Before you start ridiculing others and using your own style of vitriol to belittle people then maybe you should take a step back and look long and hard at yourself first. Get your own life sorted before you try and advise others on how to sort theirs. Look at your own style of abuse before you condone others for theirs. And try opening that narrow mind of yours to the fact that each and everyone of us is different and not a clone of yourself and your life.
