There’s something about the spanish girl that simply doesn’t appeal to me. is it that she’s a bit sly or summat?
me neither
she didnt do a thing for meMaybe it’s because she’s a bit ‘one dimensional’. Her voice is OK and (amazingly) she can actually sing in tune, but her presentation is all about being a sultry, smokey-eyed Spanish sex goddess.
This will surely help to differentiate her in the early rounds, but later on she won’t get the ‘teen’ and ‘mini-teen’ votes (10-17 year olds) and ultimately this is where the winning is.

Diane reminded me of Marianne Faithful
don’t ask me why…….I was thinking more Kate Bush – the teased out hair; the hand gestures; the slightly ”squeaky” and odd vocals.
Once she has butchered a few songs in the name of her being different, they’ll soon get bored with her and out she’ll go.

11 October, 2008 at 10:05 pm #380553The ‘file anti-virus’ settings in Kaspersky ought to scan all executable files looking for back door downloads. This (I think) includes IM applications like MSN and Yahoo messenger etc.
11 October, 2008 at 10:00 pm #380911Well I sat glued to this programme for the entire evening. I agree that the two so-called girl bands wern’t worth the stage space. They both ought to have gone – not just one of them. They were boring, flat, unable to sing in harmony consistently ….. they were all presentation and sod all substance.
I think it will become more interesting once the weaker acts have been summarily rejected.
But what an embarassment ‘Bad Lashes’ were at the end …. howling; weeping & wailing. So back they go to their humdrum little lives on Monday dreaming of what might have been.
11 October, 2008 at 6:44 pm #380550Rainy, from what you have posted, I suspect that your anti-virus / firewall just isn’t up to much …. but then the ”freebie” ones usually aren’t when it comes down to it.
The ‘Trojan’ that you mentioned might be “Windows Anti-virus 2008” which is a nasty little git, and very persistent. If you delete it, it will simply re-create itself on the next boot up.
The best bit of software that I have found to remove it (and i’ve had to do this on three friend’s computers so far) is Spyware Doctor (from PC Tools)….. BUT it won’t co-exist alongside Kaspersky (that Bat reccomends) and which I fully endorse.
A workaround might be to invest in Kaspersky Internet Security 2008 version and run that. It ought to find where the nasties are hidden and quarantine them ready for you to delete.
If you havce a problem after this – re post here and we’ll look into it for you.
