Er …. this is an advance notification that I get from Microsoft (‘cos they love me !!!)
What it is telling you is that on or after 12th December they will be releasing the above listed updates on the Microsoft Windows Update site and that you should download these updates and instal them on your computers.
This advance notification is a courtesy and is circulated to ‘TechNet’ subscribers so that they are aware of what is going to happen.
As a service to our users, I am passing this on to you all.

Maybe i should stick around and help defend the unfortunate from the madness of foreign invasion from the other boards
Maybe you should acknowledge that the BNP’s policy towards the British Forces is total and utter bollocks !!
For anybody who is interested …. this is their official policy as stated by their official spokesman – Emma.
@emma on behalf of the BNP wrote:
The BNP support the troops, more than the old gang party, because the BNP want them safe at home, looking after our borders.

Given that we are an island Emma, and therefore our borders are the surrounding seas, this is a marvellous idea of the BNP’s. I bet that all our troops will support it too.
Yes – get them all back to ”look after our borders” which amounts to sending them all on extended holidays by the seaside. They’d simply love it!
They could swim and paddle in the sea …… er sorry …. I mean look carefully for invaders trying to get ashore. They could stroll casually up and down the promenades chomping toffee apples and sticks of rock …… er sorry ….. I mean carry out armed border patrols to capture and to deter illegal immigrants.
The Royal Navy could also be there offering day trips across the bay or to the Isle of Wight
……. er sorry ……. I mean they could carry out maritime interdiction patrols to keep our shores safe from Spanish Armadas and other foreign invaders.Even the Royal Air force has its own part to play in all the fun and frolics with free helicopter rides for children and aerial displays over the sandy beaches …… er sorry …. I mean flying air combat patrols to protect our airspace against the Luftwaffe and Columbian drug smugglers.
Yes Emma this smashing idea of yours is a real winner !!!!
Thank God the BNP supports the troops….. Rule Brittania !!!

That perfectly true we realise it’s a matter of time before we’re targeted but after offering $250,000 prize no ones managed it yet . The market share increased lately we got about 4/5% a 100% increase in 4 years. Still small pototoes I grant you roughly the same share as Mercedes have of the car market.
The prize will undoubtedly remain unclaimed for some considerable time to come. This is because the sheer amount of time & effort required to write a new ‘virus’ or exploit outs most geeks off.
The majority of so-called new viruses are in fact a modification or variant to an already written virus so the effort required to produce and circulate one is substantially less.
Alsio the distribution is much more difficult with non-Microsoft Operating Systems and software as so few people use them (relatively speaking) that they simply don’t or won’t propagate the way a virus will when let loose on the internet aimed at Microsoft stuff.
My point is that this doesn’t make the ”other” systems better than Microsoft’s, but simply that nobody can be arsed to spend the huge amount of time needed to attack them.
6 December, 2006 at 10:26 pm #137092That’s because so few people use these systems (relatively speaking, compared to Microsoft) that the geeks that spend their time writing viruses simply can’t be bothered.
Why spend your life attacking 1-2% of computer systems when you could spend the same amount of time and get at 98%???
