Did you notice that the singer changed clothes every 5 seconds or so? This guy is destined to go places …. a long way away I hope!
I can only echo this. I read in the papers last week that the whole point of Islamic women covering themselves from head to toe was to remove the temptation for men to rape them !!!! I admit to being somewhat gobsmacked by this.

You can check it yourself if you like. Simply switch off and disconnect from the mains. Then unscrew the little nuts holding the sides on to the PC case and remove them and the case top. You can now remove the sides and the top . All the guts are now exposed and you can remove any dust & crap.
Owen i’ve used Spybot S&D for a couple of years now. I started with version 1.2, progressed through version 1.3 and now I use version 1.4
Version 1.3 had a nasty habit with Win XP (Home or Pro) of deleting all the icons on the desktop. Not very helpful eh? Version 1.4 has fixed this. However I find the updates really slow to download and instal and i have had to uninstal and re-instal the programme three times now as it developed a ‘glitch’ and wouldn’t take down the latest update.
I do find the scanner is pretty slow and it takes around 10 – 12 minutes to scan an 80GB hard disc. It seems to find quite a lot of stuff but these are mainly Windows usage histories and suchlike.
I now rarely use it as it doesn’t remove spyware very effectively – I guess because the definitions files are not updated by the programme writers often enough.
What I now use are two programmes in conjunction with each other.
For spyware / malware removal and general cookie blocking etc I use Spyware Doctor (current version is 1.4). (check it out here >>> http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/?ref=google_sd ). This runs in the background all the time and you can set it to run a system scan when ever you want it to or you can do it manually.
The other programme I use is Window Washer.(check it out here >>> http://www.webroot.com/consumer/products/windowwasher/ ). This ”cleans” all those annoying ‘hidden’ cache files, temp files and Windows usage files as well as IE history and so on.
Yes OK they aren’t Freeware so you have to pay to use them but they both offer free 30 day evaluations. Give them a go and see what you think. My guess is that you’ll really love Spyware Doctor.
There is a possibility that the PSU (Power Supply Unit) has become defective. Leaving a computer on standby for a ”few months” isn’t going to do it any good and it may well be that it has given up the ghost.
Typically when you load the PSU for a short time, it cannot handle the load and one of its circuits collapses electrically. This will present itself as a forced shut down after a few minutes (sometimes even after a few seconds) – which is the symptom that your computer seems to have.
Unexpected shutdowns can also be caused by the computer overheating – blocked intake or exhaust vents / grills or a dodgy or dirty cooling fan on the processor. Given that the weather isn’t too hot right now it is unlikely to be caused by environmental things so the obvious cause of overheating is poor air circulation in and through the computer case.(When a Pentium processor overheats the default action is to auto shutdown the PC)
So the first thing I would do is to take the sides off the PC and remove any build up of dust, bits of carpet fluff etc etc. (SWITCH IT OFF FIRST !!!!). Make sure that the Processor cooling fan is clean, that there is no dust or crap sticking to the fan blades and that all the air intake and exhaust vents or grilles are free of dust & fluff. Also check that the cooling fan within the PSU is free and clear of dust & fluff etc.
If this works then well & good. If not then the next thing to go for is a new PSU. Cost around £40 – £50 or so from somewhere like PC World. You can disassemble the existing one and instal a new one yourself with a minimum of technical knowledge.
