The weather here in my ‘hometown’ is simply wonderful. Warm sun, light but cool breeze, temperature around 20 degrees.
I would love to have a dreamy night as well but the problem is that I have to stay awake and watch for foxes who come visiting during the night to attack my garden.
Maybe you have a German recipe for cooking foxes???

Yup you’re right Pol – the baby will have a life of utter luxury, surrounded by ‘carers’ and bodyguards. No expense will be spared on it. With luck its new ”Mummy” might even drop in for the odd half hour or so, in between press interviews, photo ops, and recording sessions – when she’s in the UK of course.
Quite a jump from the life it knew only last week. Still, most if not all of its little companions will be dead in a little while, so they won’t be too envious eh?

But seriously, the Boards are only some electronic space on a server. These ones happen to be owned by JustChat – but there are many thousands out there for those who have the desire to explore.. However, the content, and what these Boards are all about as it were, is entirely up to you (the registered users).
To take your point about the other Hosts moderating on here.OK I tend to spend a lot of my free time moderating the Boards, and my colleague Hosts spend their time primarily in the chatrooms, moderating there. So we ‘unofficially’ divide our energies this way, which is why you see me on here more than say GM or CL or NM. That said, we support each other so that if one is away or whatever, then the others will cover for them.
As for leavers Cath. The issue that irritates most regular Board members is the one where a user leaves in a huff demanding that their account be closed and all their posts deleted etc etc and then shortly afterwards they return with a different user name. A lot of them leave declaring that ”this place is shyte” and telling the entire internet how much they hate it here.
Fair enough, we do not and indeed cannot please everybody all of the time but if JustChat is so terrible and they hate it so much then why bother returning? Makes no sense to me.
Sometimes they do it because they have a long running dislike of, or feud with, an existing or current user and they lose no opportunity to carry on stirring up issues with that user, in their new name. In other words the leaving ploy is simply that – it is in reality a poor excuse to carry on an existing feud.
In the end it creates a sort of ‘paranoia’ with current members demanding to know who a new user is and believing that they are an old user returning etc. Sometimes they are totally accurate and sometimes not – but it can discourage newbies from posting which is a pity.
Cath, let me end by reminding you that you personally contribute to making these Boards what they are – along with all the other users who have registered and post stuff. If you don’t like the content then change it. If the topics are boring for you then post some topics that interest you. The Boards are and will only be what the users make them
Well the leavers having left in cloud of self righteous indignation …….. lets all see how long it takes before they return (possibly in another name) to carry on with their incessant whinging.
