I left years ago. I whinged on and on about not having my account deleted and all my posts rubbed out then I complained that I was being ignored when nothing happened.
Eventually i got fed up and came back again- only to leave again then come back again each time milking a little more attention and sympathy out of gullible board members.
I’m not quite sure whereabouts I am in the cycle right now.

I wonder what the excuse will be – anything that avoids the wholesome role model to young children everywhere taking any responsibility at all.

18 October, 2006 at 2:07 pm #245040No pol – you have to leave properly. This includes constantly PM’ing Hosts etc demanding that your account is closed and generally throwing hissy fits around the place claiming to be both hard done by AND unfairly discriminated against.
Now will you just get on with it and stop faffing around.

Oh !!!! I didn’t know that. Well that’s allright then we needn’t worry anymore.
It’s all here.
Ah – so your link goes to ”Autistic” Gordon’s budget speech eh? How silly of me I really should have know that everything he says is pure gospel and none of it at all is in any way spun for party political advantage.
He’s a great bedtime read eh? Full of little quips to keep you interested in his lists of mweaningless statistics and broad generalisations. Do remind me, how many times this year alone have the precious NL dictators announced and or spent the same money under several different disguises???

18 October, 2006 at 9:46 am #245034You’re quite right Fasty – there are a few serial ”leavers” here who make an enormous song & dance about insisting that their accounts are deleted (and all their posts as well) and they leave in a blaze of glory with much begging ”please don’t go” snivel sniff boo hoo etc.
Often their ”leaving statement” is laced with a few vitriolic digs at the site, at the Staff, and especially at their hated enemies. So off they go in a cloud of self-righteous indignation, huffing and puffing that ”this place has gone downhill” or ”this place is shyte” and so boring on and so boring forth.
Then what happens – surprise surprise a few weeks later (sometimes it is only days) back they come as if nothing has happened posting away as before. There are even those who return with a totally different name so that they can carry on their personal vendetta with their hated enemy of choice under the new name.
If a user realy wants to stop posting it is the easiest thing in the world – just don’t sign in and use the keyboard. What could be simpler than that?
Still I suppose that this method spoils all the drama and attention seeking.

The point is, that these “political” people are like cameleon’s, they change their appearence like a stripper, desperate to keep their clothes of power and money switched on.
If the government did not bend to the will of the electorate it wouldn’t be a elected government. It would be a dictatorship!
Sadly Owen this is exactly what they have become – an elected dictatorship. Our daily diet now consists of spin, and outright lies interspersed with financial scandals and ministerial wrongdoing. They are acknowledged world experts in the black arts of spin and media management to the total detriment of truth.
It would appear that the ‘Dear Leader’ is shortly to go forth and become the leader of another failed musical group. Sadly it seems that he in currently presiding over the forthcoming demise of the NHS; of the education system; of the Army, Navy & Air Force; and one of the highest tax regimes in Western Europe; the list goes on and on.
Mind you the alternative – dour humourless Gordy – doesn’t bear thinking about.
17 October, 2006 at 11:34 pm #244983But Emma – David ”blind pugh” Blunkett has flatly denied ever saying this to the prison governor …. and we all believe every word he says dont we? I said …. DON’T WE ???????
