I could tell him how to spell phone, if that helps.
He might be American. There and again he might just be semi-literate. Nevertheless he still has an issue and if he cares to post us some more details i am sure that we would want to assist him.
28 May, 2006 at 9:54 am #221250We’ve just had a site makeover and we felt that this provided a good opportunity to draw a line and reflect the wishes of the majority of JustChat users by deleting posts that are deliberatley offensive towards other users or that specifically set out to make a personal attack on another user.
Arguments, differences of opinion, banter, piss taking, and so on are all fine – so is sarcasm and irony thank God – but posts that become grossly offensive, posting pictures without the user’s consent, personal abuse or threats and so on will all be deleted as soon as they are seen by a Moderator.
For the avoidance of doubt, this policy will be applied to ALL users.
28 May, 2006 at 9:41 am #221344That was just cousin Franco’s idea of a little joke Tommy. He’s a really nice guy – as long as you don’t upset him, and always refer to him with ”respect” and call him Don Franco.
I always bow my head before him and say ”baciamo la mani” (I kiss the hand) as a mark of respect when I first meet him.
I’ll mention you to him next time I see him – who knows he might send you a little present !!!

Hey Owen, I’ve been trying to find a site where I can download (and pay for of course) the track from the movie Deliverance called ”Duelling Banjos” (also known as ”Feudin’ Banjos”).
MSN music has it but insists that I have to be in the USA (which I’m not). Tesco Music doesn’t have it. Any ideas???
Well PB, I could out of the kindness of my heart download it (pay for it ofcourse), and send it to you
That would be really kind ”V” – yes please !!! I really like the version from the film – although there are a number of different versions around.
Sadly Ruby’s link allows you to play it but not to download and save it to your hard drive.
I found it on MSN Music easily enough but the problem is that they seem to insist that all accounts are based in the USA, and without an ”account” you cannot make a Visa purchase from their site. Even changing your Passport profile to ensure that you are shown as UK based seems not to work with MSN Music. It’s a pity as they have an enormous collection of downloadable music – and only £0.99 pence a go it’s pretty cheap really.

Spit roast i thought was 1 man at the front a man at the back
nowt to do with rape
but then again i am probly wrong
I suppose that your version sounds more likely. The first time I heard of this expression was in connection with some footballers in a London hotel (or wherever) and they had all had sex with this woman who subsequently complained that they raped her.
The papers reported it as a ”spit roast” so naturally i connected this with multiple rape.
27 May, 2006 at 11:52 pm #221308I presume you mean a Belkin USB card installed onto the motherboard of your PC. However I’m not too sure exactly what the issue is here.
Is the card properly installed and do you have the correct drivers installed???

27 May, 2006 at 10:43 pm #212299Well I was referring to the High Court judgement this week that allowed a divorced wife to claim a substantial share in her husband’s assets even though she had not contributed directly to their acquisition. The fact that she had given up a potential carreer to be married entitled her to a big payout from his assets, even though only being married a relatively short period of time.
It is said that pre-nuptial agreements could get round this by setting out a ”fair share” of the assets before the marriage took place – even though these agreements are not directly recognised in English matrimonial law.
So it seemed to me that Witey and Gizmo ought to consider a ‘pre nup’ before they get married so that when they get divorced shortly afterwards, they won’t fight over the assets.

Forgive me for not knowing, but isn’t a ”spit roast” slang for multiple rape???
