I’m amazed that you didn’t include sheep in the above list of Welsh contributions to fame. The Welsh are very well known for their sheep – we like to eat them and the Welsh use them for an alltogether different purpose …… allegedly.

“Rear brakes failing” could mean ONLY the pads / shoes needed to be renewed – but when they dis-assembled the brakes, it isn’t unreasonable to have to replace the slave cylinders as well if they were found to be leaking.
Agreed it isn’t cheap but better that having hydraulic fliud leaking out slowly and inevitably leading to brake failure. That can be quite exciting if you aren’t expecting it!!!!!
