BUMP !!!
I bumped this simply because it was the oldest post in this Forum (and it’s 7.25am and my morning paper hasn’t been delivered yet!!!)
I was getting a Kebab last night on my way back home, and as I waited I noticed a copy of The Sun on the counter. Right across the front page was a piccy of Jade Goody. Being a curious sort of chap, I read the article inside.
I have to confess that, in the light of this two page spread, my gross cynicism may well have been misplaced and that judging from the photos and long detailed article, the poor girl sure appears to be terminal. It was a pretty heart rending story that’s for sure.
Interesting that the entire tone of the article was most compassionate towards her – whereas The Sun’s previous stance was one of insult and derision.
In one sense, I hope that my gross cynicism is right, because if so then she won’t die an unpleasant death. However I have to admit that is doesn’t look good for her.
Well, either way she is a bit of a character and a lot of people are soon going to be very sad or absolutely furious.
OK, but the whole point of a railway station is to catch a train – NOT to catch some nasty communicable sexually transmitted disease.
Whilst it’s all very well for a spotty youth and his pubescent teenie girlfiend to be locked in some parody of a loving embrace, the majority of travellers simply want to catch their train and not have to be subjected to the intrusive sounds of adolescent lurve.
Colin Daniels, the chief executive of Warrington Chamber of Commerce, has exactly the right idea. Virgin trains should be what their name suggests – fit for virgins to use. If their customes have to run the gauntlet of ghastly people making love orally, their whole travel experience will be tainted by impure thoughts.
Quite right too. Kissing is a nasty habit that spreads diseases as well as encouraging promiscuity amongst teenagers.
“Fems only….” This is gross sexual discrimination of the worst sort and I’m going to report you all to the thought police.
Oh Christ – CL goes shopping. Head down everybody!!! She has to hire a lorry to get her purchases back after a dose of ‘retail therapy’.

For free registry scans – you can find numerous sites on the internet for this (Google them) but the hook is that to fix the issues they find, you usually need to purchase the software. The old adage that there is no such thing as a free lunch applies here.

The free time limited trial WILL remove some problems, but you need to purchase a license to remove them all. Frankly it is well worth it – I use it all the time and can personally reccomend it.

I entirely accept the above points – made most eloquently if I may say so. Of course if her illness is genuine, no reasonable person can fail to have anything but absolute compassion for her predicament.
I guess my problem (and it is probably mine alone) is that I am very cynical – especially when people in the ‘public eye’ are concerned. As I said, I simply cannot help thinking “What if…..???”
I suppose that only time will tell. The Media have reported that she has only got a couple of months remaining, so I guess we’ll see if I am right or not pretty rapidly.
