Did you know that people who survived the Black Death in the 1300s in Europe had their DNA changed as a result of having the plague. That changed DNA was passed down through successive generations. Until the plague in the 1600s. People who had one parent with the changed DNA survived the plague and those with both parents with the changed DNA didn’t even catch the plague at all.
AND people who have the changed DNA apparently can’t get full blown AIDS even if they become HIV positive!
People from Africa and other continents who didn’t have ancestors who survived the Black Death have no protection to HIV and therefore they are more likely to get full blown AIDS.
and thats just one example!
As for matter just coming into being…………….what the heck do you think scientists say created the universe?
Wrong ??? i didnt say that all mutations within DNA are harmful
Thats interesting about the plague….i would lke to know where this information came from….Catch the plague ???? perhaps they were waiting at the wrong stop, again let me know where this information can be verified….if mutations affect the mitochondrial DNA, this will without doubt pass to the child of that mother…this occurs naturally… i have not seen any documents supporting what you say…. :? Are you saying that becoming immune to disease supports the argument that humankind have evolved from inanimate matter ???????
Scientists say created the universe ????????…… i might point out that it is the origin of what made the occurence possible that escapes fact not what they summise to be fact, there would be no need for the discussion if scientific evidence gave all the answers would there??????11 February, 2010 at 9:08 pm #430519Nej… twas a short haired…oo look!! Seems i was barking up the wrong tree…. :D
11 February, 2010 at 8:40 pm #431050If you believe that the first element had to be created, then I think it follows on that you also have to believe that the entity who created the element had to be created. It’s the old chicken and egg thing again, but I still think it’s an important point.
A lot of people would also say that DNA is just the result of natural selection acting upon random mutations, and that no intellegence is therefore required for it.Considering humankind and all creatures have the ability to procreate i find your comments hard to accept…why the need for such a process if matter can randomly come into life through a chance mutation……..largely, mutations known to humankind i think are to the disadvantage of the host and not evolutionary :?

Im part spirit i`l have you know….
Agnostic in the general terms that is generally thought of i meant…a play on words.. :?
11 February, 2010 at 6:12 pm #431035I think i have put here more than once that the very first matter be it animate or inanimate, means to me there must be a super-natural entity behind it…….your comments allude to human evolving into God in which case the human must have been created to evolve into God…..i dont think that mixing the theories together will advance the position at all
