right then, the strip of bone or plastic (given the age of the guitar it’s probably bone) is known as the ‘nut’ and just needs replacing with a new one. this is a very straightforward job and any repair centre should be able to do this for you. I would gladly do it for you but I think the cost of getting the guitar to me would be more expensive than the repair itself :lol:
as for the crack on the body, if it had been done recently I’d have said get it looked at asap, but given the time that has passed I don’t think it would matter if you waited a few more years :lol:
