Hours of entertainment for him
30 September, 2011 at 1:11 pm #478897I would never do such things
Oh, I might once have deleted a saved game on a playstation memory card that had apparently been ‘months of ******* playing and strategic tactics blah blah’ :D
I wasn’t to know, was I?
Oh, and I got to know the girl an ex cheated with and got invited to their wedding (years later), turns out it’s quite fun being invited to a wedding and having the groom panicking all the time, and the grooms family all confused – oh, and being in the wedding pics :D
I think that’s my lot….

Today!14 September, 2011 at 11:30 am #477740Good question Lucy.
Ruby, thanks for sharing your experience…sorry the way it ended, but you got to have a good friend so… :)
For me, I’ve been chatting on and off for about 12 years or so now – originally used a site that was message board only and it began my addiction with online pontificating :)
The site that I originally used, I met some good friends on. Chatted to many aquaintances (same as here) but also was lucky enough to come away with a handful of good friends who I see regularly and the friendships survived the transition from ‘online chatting’ to what I think is termed ‘real life friendships’ For me, personally, friendships can be real both on and offline…anyway, that’s another story.
There are again a handful of people here who I would term as friends, although have never met them, and probably won’t…not for any reason in particular but I think that doesn’t make the ‘friendship’ any less real…
I guess you do need to be careful and not become mates with Uncle Tom and Harry, although am sure we’ve all been friends with a few Richard’s at some point!
I would hate to become someone who’s always suspicious of others, someone who has to check people out constantly and ask a million and one questions…I like to believe if someone is genuine – it will show through…we’ll all get burnt at some point, it’s a case of trying not to let it cloud the future friendships you may have/which can develop (here and in the dreaded real life scenarios too).
Having said that…I do like odd people :P
