The post you put up WAS in realation to the Rep. of Ireland as only in the Rep (south) are the police called Garda as in YOUR link.

Also the post YOU put up stating about “FREE STATE” in 1921 … A “Free State” – again that ONLY applys to the south.

Noone is disagreeing the the North (6 counties) is under English rule and MOST LIKELY still answers to the Queen.
