Bark from dried wood works really well – we chop our own from old wooden boards but the supermarkets sell it in bags – but all the publicity that comes through the letter box every day is also good for starting fires

Same with the price of gas too. Living in the country we have a gas tank that costs 2500 euros to fill and even using the central heating frugally it disappears rapidly.
