To answer your question tho, I think you are right in that it is a great place for people who lack confidence to build themselves up and also to get the chance to meet like-minded people whom they may never have managed to meet otherwise. Of course, if they are ‘mentally scarred’ by previous relationships, they may be scared they are simply setting themselves up for another fall but I think they will soon realise they have lots of people to go to for advice and support. They should realise that, if they do ‘fall’ again, they will always have friends to catch them – something that would not necessarily have been the case previously.
