2 March, 2006 at 12:56 pm #200433I think it is an uneven contest with only one potential loser. Jigsy has already said she gets no pleasure from beating up simpletons – we should all be noble for once and leave the druggy alone.
2 March, 2006 at 12:41 pm #200404Oh you might be right, I just assumed the pic was linked to his lovely poem. I think PB took it off cos it showed her smoking a cigarette but that’s a bit harsh. Maybe subs has a picture of his mother/wife without a cigarette which PB would find acceptable?

MUM
For all the times you gently picked me up when i was down,
For all them times you traded me a warm smile for a frown,
For all the times you tied my shoe or tucked me gently into bed,
Or needed something for yourself, but put me first instead
For all everything we shared, the dreams, the laughter and the tears,
I love you with a special love that deepens through the years.
Thanks to my mum..
Aw SUBS, I am trying not to cry here but it’s difficult. Just goes to show what you can achieve if you stay off the drugs for a couple of hours, eh? I heard you posted a nice picture of your mum last night but PB took it off – UNFAIR PB – can we have the pic of subs’ mum back up please???
1 March, 2006 at 11:13 pm #200289He never said that – what he said was that the Polish workers deserve equal rights. Like it or not, we are in Europe now (freedom of movement etc) and these Polish people are entitled to seek work here just as Brits can go and live and work in Poland.
Three quick points: 1) Brits would find cost of living much cheaper in Poland and would probably move there if they had enough stuff in the shops to keep them happy – if we Brits had any transferable skills of course… 2) Poles may think that £5.05 is a good wage otherwise they might not have come here (lots of Indian etc workers manage to send money home despite being paid poor rates) and 3) transport companies are faced with ever-increasing fuel costs etc – lowering wages costs by £500 a week might mean the business can remain competitive and the remainder of the (British) workforce don’t lose their jobs (if the owner starts driving around in a Bentley with the plate POL 1, then I take that last point back).
Anyway, Polish lorry drivers are better than British ones.

1 March, 2006 at 7:32 pm #199984Grrr shame I missed it, sounds like it was fun – I wonder if anyone has any photographic evidence of this seemingly magnificent game which they could maybe post here for the benefit of anyone who missed the match?
