I’d go for any football commentators who seem to forget that England have to play some games before being crowned World/European champions.

Same goes for English teams in UEFA Cup/Champions League. At least we Scots have low expectations of all our sides so we’re rarely dissapointed!

Who could forget his ‘three yellow cards’ performance at the World Cup? Not only is he a bit too card happy at times, but he gets so excited he loses count! You’re right, a good referee lets the game go. Looks like the ground search has been called off and that ain’t a good sign. These things rarely have a happy ending and considering the time that has passed, as well as what I’ve just mentioned, even the most optimistic of optimists must have a feeling that this is looking like it could unfortunately be another sad statistic.
