Been thinking about this… many many times I have come out of clubs late at night and you know what? the people around me have always been fantastic.
Have to agree with you there sharon. I’ve said many times at work that I feel safer walking home at 3am/4am (whenever I finish) than I would at 6pm. Why? At weekends (during the week the place is deserted at that time) all the fighters and aggresive drunks are locked up, all the folk who are emotional cos they’ve had one too many and fell out with their mates or whoever else have gone home (or been locked up until they calm down) and the rest (if there are any left) are standing outside the taxi ranks drunk but in a good mood.
Yet at 6pm, the beggars are often still roaming the streets scrounging money or cigarettes and the groups are often getting into position for the night. The ones who carry knifes etc usually have other things and other people to worry about but I wouldn’t trust them an inch.

Being gently let down by a girl (in front of my best mate thank you very much!) after spending £2 on a christmas present as part of my masterplan to impress didn’t help either :evil:
