That was…ever so slightly confusing!
27 October, 2007 at 11:45 am #292107But if they’re talking about football then at least they’re talking about one relevant topic which is more than can be said for an entire week on Loose Women.
I can’t even go to the pub to avoid it cos they watch it in there! The only good thing about it is the blonde one, just a shame she has to speak.
27 October, 2007 at 11:01 am #292232I doubt many of them follow the news

Your problem is? If she can’t fight her own battles then she should tell me herself. So we don’t agree – isn’t that the point of these boards? I’m sure I saw the words General Discussion somewhere.
Or are you only arguing cos it’s Sunday tomorrow?

26 October, 2007 at 11:42 pm #292228Or the people who stood by and watched? Makes you wonder about their mentality too, the whole thing is vile.
I couldn’t even read the full article when I saw it in the paper, so how anyone can take pleasure from witnessing it is beyond me. Worse thing of all? I doubt many of them will care that she’s dead.

Is it just me or is there something, well, wrong? As a child I was always told, as were all my friends, not to talk to strangers or accept sweets from strangers. Then halloween happens and it’s like an alternate reality.
Suddenly, you’re encouraged to talk to strangers. Hell, you’re even encouraged to go to them as oppose to them finding you. At night. In a costume. You’re also allowed to take sweets from strangers while your parents, the very people who warn you about this sort of thing, stand and observe.
So this year, if they knock on my door they can just stand there – I don’t care if it is raining. I have principles and morals which I intend to uphold. And just to show that I’m not uncaring, I’ll probably leave a bag of sweets where they can see them just so they know that I am entering into the spirit of things as oppose to just ignoring them completely.
so its nothing to do with the fact you’re a tight wad then? :-
Possibly. Maybe not, but possibly.
