Thought so, I take it waspish just means that they weren’t thrashed then? I don’t know if they were or not, my interest in rugby stretches about as far as a wee boaby on a cold morning.
15 October, 2007 at 11:28 pm #291323I very rarely notice it anyway but I do know that it is there sometimes and not at others.

Dont say I never warned you!……think on. :roll:You’re sounding a little bit mad there. Maybe you’ve been going to church too often. If something bad happens then something bad happens, I’ve had more than my fair share of it anyway. Even to people who do go to church and pray etc on a regular basis so explain that to me without backtracking.
A little bit mad is it?….from what I’ve seen thus far I would have thought that a degree of madness would be a prerequisite for Just Chat membership.
I would also point out to those that have apparently missed it, that I dont actually advocate or encourage religious belief, I dont attend church myself or necessarily believe in any divine deity, I was merely pointing out the double standards of those who do, albeit infrequently, use the church for whatever purpose, and then take the p*ss out of those who do attend / believe.
I’m sorry about your ‘ fair share of troubles ‘……sh*t happens, as you say, whether you believe in a god or not.Who’s taking the p*ss out of those who go to church/believe?

I think all this disrespect to our church goin brethren is nothing short of fu**in outrageous.
I bet those of you whose married got married in church, got your kids christened in church, went to funerals etc……double standards if you ask me, have a bit of respect in future you dont know whats round the corner! 8)I know what’s round the corner – the church is round the corner. Nothing more awkward than when you’re going to do some shopping and you walk head first into a crowd of mourners leaving a funeral. And it’s a long stretch of pavement from the corner to safety. More often that not I find myself, unintentionally, walking alongside them on their way to the cemetery. My timing’s s**te!
14 October, 2007 at 9:42 pm #291170We were forced to watch it when we were kids – don’t know why as my parents aren’t religious people and I haven’t grown up as a devout church goer. Perhaps there was nothing else on tele.
13 October, 2007 at 9:47 pm #290249Thank feck it’s nearly over. I naively thought that when Scotland got knocked out then our papers wouldn’t cover it as much. Or was that just wishful thinking?
13 October, 2007 at 9:44 pm #290515Managing to somehow wipe 448 songs off my ipod  There’s a special skill involved in making a pigs erse of something and not knowing how you managed it.
Anyway, back up to 316 so I’m getting there. I’m a single guy who doesn’t drink, what else am I gonna do on a Friday night?
Also, making the mistake of telling people that I thought Rambo was an actual vet (as oppose to vet as in veteran) and hoping that other people shared my confusion was a bit of an error of judgement on my part. At least it makes more sense when I watch it now.
