Funnily enough, I was just contemplating that very fact – hence why I logged on. Jeremy Clarkson got complained about for saying ‘very ginger beer’ so this shouldn’t be an exception.
Also she said that she didn’t mean it in an offensive way (tbh, I haven’t a clue what the mammoth actually said in the diary room but it was something similar) Didn’t Emily say that in her defence?
So Big Brother won’t tolerate a word that can be viewed as racist when used in a certain context but they seemingly will tolerate a word that can be viewed as homophobic in a certain context?
4 July, 2007 at 12:19 pm #274456Don’t think there are any tributes to him. All mention of the tragedy and any tributes to his career have been removed from WWE.com. Perhaps it’s just me, but since the steroids issue has reared its head before when Sid was caught cheating a drugs test and Vince ended up in court I can’t help but think there is another reason why he is so keen to put some distance between him and the case.
Obviously there are a few who still think that Chris is a legend and despite what happened, he will still be worshipped in their eyes. Personally, I thought he was a tremendous performer but this has tarnished all that he should have been remembered for.

Truly inspired
Infact the ONLY hurdle to this being put in place would be the Scots insistance that they could wear HiViz jackets with “Im wiv this harrr pig b’stard pal –>>>”
But I’m sure thats a minor technicality and should go through without a hitch
I try my best :D Though you shouldn’t be surprised in any way – after all Scotland has given the world, it’s only natrual that we are the ones who discover the solution to end terrorism. And I have another inspired idea -know how you get these videos posted on the internet from these terrorist groups? Why not use the same technology they use to track online fraudsters to trace the people posting these videos?
I’m surprised they haven’t thought of that yet.
3 July, 2007 at 5:06 pm #274647Simple solution – get them to work alongside the police. They do the beating up etc (for a few bottles of buckie and a few quid on their giro. I’m sure the government could swing it and it would mean the dole office could stay open) then the police simply stroll in to make an easy arrest. Also means that, if the person already has a few bruises, then they could go to town and say ‘He was like that when we brought him in’
Everybody’s happy. Any slobs who get in on the act without permission – more arrests. That would mean that they would be doing their bit to keep police busy during those lull times. As for those who volunteered? They’ve got their buckie and their giro’s to keep them happy during those quiet times.
Also – due to the fact that firearms officers or anti terror people who probably get paid a small fortune would no longer be required, it would mean we could put more police out on the street too! How brilliant is that?
3 July, 2007 at 3:17 pm #274805I’m not a Hammers fan but I have to agree. Bottom line is that West Ham stayed up cos they got more points over the course of the season, the fact that the Blades would accept being in the Premiership on a technicality rather than on merit tells its own story.
3 July, 2007 at 3:10 pm #274645rubyred – thanks for posting that. I was certain that’s what I heard him say but at the same time, I thought ‘No way, I must have heard that wrong’
That could be the answer – at the next Cobra (honestly, when I saw them on TV, they didn’t look like a group of people who should be calling themselves Cobra. Gordon Brown was almost sleeping FFS!) meeting, that should be on the agenda. I’m sure Glaswegians would do the job much cheaper than armed police officers.
1 July, 2007 at 9:35 pm #274638You mean like the theories that Bush masterminded 9/11 to make Americans trust him and look to him for guidance?
1 July, 2007 at 7:09 pm #274636I don’t think this was an act of terrorism as such, more an act of terror (if that makes sense)
Think about what could have happened both in London and Glasgow. How many people could have died if it all went the way it was seemingly supposed to. Then think about what action has been taken. No fatalities, a bit of disruption but the terror alert is at a critical level.

1 July, 2007 at 11:38 am #274631I think he did it for the benefit of the cameras. Think he was an off duty policeman, so it wouldn’t have been good PR for the force if he stood there, on camera, singing ‘We don’t need no water let the motherf***er burn’
I’m pretty sure there’s rules about that sort of thing.
