BM – did Big Daddy ever actually wrestle? I watch ‘World Of Sport’ on Sky and all he seemed to do (even though I thought it was amazing at the time) was shout, barge and splash! Haystacks was a scary guy, he came to our town once years ago for a show and he terrified us all! Swore at us, threatened us – when you’re a kid it can be quite scary when a guy that size has you in his line of vision and steps over the railing calling everyone in front of him ‘Wee Scottish (I’ll allow Trevor McDonald to finish that sentence!)’
Vince stated before ECW last night that while RAW was postponed for a Benoit tribute, that now the facts are clearer ECW would not even mention Benoit on the show (bearing in mind that Benoit is ex-ECW as well) and would instead be dedicating the show to those who have been affected by the tragedy.
Personally, I find the facts so bizarre and frankly disturbing that I still can’t actually get my head round it.

I don’t think he will be in the hall of fame, not next year anyway. As much as his career merits it, the events surrounding his death would make him a very controversial choice and many would think that it would reflect badly on those who are in the hall of fame and are no longer with us.

Herman – Chris wasn’t murdered. From the latest reports I’ve heard on Sky Sports News, he strangled his wife and smothered his son. He then took his own life the next day by hanging himself, they reckon it could’ve been ‘roid rage’ that made him snap. Seemingly he had been sending strange text messages as well which caused some concern and in the name of good taste, you can find those messages online.
Initially I didn’t believe it, not just cos it sounded so unreal. Considering that WWE have been trying to convince us that Vince is dead I thought this was a sick twist in the story and it was going to transpire that Chris faked his death and that of his wife and son as he was responsible for the limo explosion (I wouldn’t put it past them, remember the storyline where Kane raped a girl as she was either dead or dying? Despite the fact that he had spent his life in hiding. That was hardly in good taste)
It’s strange hearing the messages on Sky Sports News ‘It’s a shame. He’ll be sorely missed. He killed his wife and seven year old son, perhaps that’s a bigger issue’ Wait, I think I made that last one up.
Problem solved (though I’m scared to say it!) I couldn’t access my help section as it wouldn’t open but I tried to reset my internet to no avail. However, I was able to access a page where I could customize my internet settings and from there I found a link to reinstall Internet Explorer.
Doubtless, if it happens again, I’ll forget all that but so far so good.
I’ll see what it’s like tomorrow, I’m hoping it’s just a 24 hour thing. I’d rather not have to set up a new account (as I’ve stated, I’m not technically minded) but if it comes to that, then so be it.
Like some sort of European super league? It’s a decent idea and I do go along with the idea of only league winners playing in the CL (even though I’m a Gers fan) But how would relegation work? Maybe two teams who finish bottom don’t qualify the following year and there’s a draw made to see which nations can are permitted entry in their place?
Problem there is that it would devalue the domestic competition if there was no Champions League carrot. I’d also be in favour of having an under 19 version running at the same time with the same teams, though I know many teams may not have u19 teams so it probably wouldn’t work out. I think the big teams do take the Scottish Cup seriously – it’s the CIS cup that’s viewed by many as the lesser trophy.
