Couldn’t agree more. Like I said, I work with CCTV and have seen things like that first hand and it’s even more sickening(and quite frightening) to watch when you don’t know what the outcome is going to be.

I have a feeling that they’ll probably try and pin the blame on Manchester in some way, neanderthals like that never take responsibility for their actions. Once again, the minority have made themselves heard.

And English fans never cause trouble do they?

You might have a point if you weren’t so hypocritical.

I know, I hate those who have an overinflated opinion of their own contributions to these threads.

Some of us don’t even have to try

Football could do with a few more of his kind

For once, I agree with the heavy handed approach – we’ve seen it a few times recently and sometimes I think it’s a bit OTT but not this time. Nobody wants to see innocent fans getting beaten for being in the wrong place at the wrong time but we all know where to point the finger on this occasion.

What choice did they have? Some of the images were shocking and like I said, I’ve seen similar but not a pack mentality on that scale.

It’s probably best if I don’t try to explain my thinking

Evil can be fun when used appropriately.

    *uck off

I’m not sure that counts as an appropriate use, but if I say ‘f**k you too’ then it balances it out and as such makes it harmless fun

Just seen some of the footage from the city centre last night and it’s appaling. I work with CCTV and have seen some pretty sickening stuff but nothing on that level. There’s no excuse for that sort of behaviour and the actions of that couple of hundred or so will be what our reputation is based on and what the trip will be remembered for.

There were 100,000 in Manchester, so the vast majority were well behaved but that minority has only served to tarnish an already blotted reputation even more. Sounds all too familiar. Well done, you’ve done your club proud.

Just saw this on Sky Sports News and I’m stunned. I was expecting to hear about last night’s events in Manchester but can’t tell you how shocked I was when this flashed up. I thought he was on the way back from this latest battle, very sad especially at such a young age.

A man who I’ve really come to admire for his dignity over the past few years.
