It shouldn`t be euthanised, and I disagree with keeping these incredible creatures in captivity, if it could be released with a good chance of success I think it should be released.

To be fair, I don`t think hunters can claim it`s about controlling foxes really, not when you think of cubbing, and stag hunting. I love all animals and I consider myself to be an animal lover withut being overly sentimental… I would rather raise free range animals for meat, give them a good quality of life, and a humane death.
I`m still unsure…[Read more]

yep
still not sure if I agree with hunting, part of me thinks it`s natural, and if foxes need controlling natural has to be better surely? By natural though, I guess I mean just the hounds, no terriers, no eagles, no trapping, no breeding for hunting, just the fox, the hounds, and the horses and humans along for the ride.
My angle on this is…[Read more]

Copper the fox made national headlines. After being chased, and caught, by the Chiddingford, Leconfield and Cowdray Hunt hounds, he managed to bolt down a rabbit hole. Luckily, Hunt Saboteurs were close by and physically blocked the…

What stock, foxes do not kill lambs and as for chickens then invest more money in keeping the foxes from the chickens, pass the cost on to the consumer. If the hunters are so brave chase them on foot and kill them with their bare hands. Controlling fox numbers is simply an excuse for barbarism

I agree poli, and what I cannot fathom are the anti hunt protesters that shout it`s cruel to kill a fox in such a way, yet they will maim and kill the hounds, the horses, and the people!
I realise that not everyone will agree, but surely as a wild animal, being hunted and killed is natural, and normally it`s only the old, weak, and/or sick that…[Read more]

I have only ever been drag hunting, but having done that I do understand the thrill of a hunt. Hounds are trained to follow the scent, and kill the fox, I think like sarah, if a fox goes to ground then the fox outwitted the hunt, and to send terriers in after them is cruel.
I honestly think hunting (when done with respect to the fox, and country…[Read more]
