I know someone who is allergic to buttons and toothpaste. The buttons have to be loose, and lying about to cause her to have a reaction, they are ok if they are sewed on. The toothpaste, she gaggs while brushing her own teeth, and god help her if she has to watch someone else brushing their teeth.
I hate to be pedantic but those aren’t allergies, and I hate to see someone suffering with something unnecessarily. The button thing is an irrational fear or phobia and is not uncommon, and the toothbrushing thing is an overactive gag reflex, which people often exerience when they go to dentists. Both can be resolved with the help of a good hypnotherapist. I once worked with someone who had a more extreme version of the button thing, couldn’t bear to see buttons full stop. Her whole wardrobe was devoid of buttons, she couldn’t go on a date because the guy might weat a shirt with buttons on, and she was starting to skip work because people were wearing clothes with buttons. It was great to see her face when she came back to see me wearing a button-up skirt and a blouse with buttons, and to hear that she’s started dating and had a life back again.
Speaking of toothpaste, why is it that their is flouride in tap water and it’s “safe to drink” but for the amount of flouride in a glass of water that is in the amount you would use to brush your teeth…it says “do not swallow” on the toothpaste tube. Flouride is a by product of Phosphorus.
The fluoride is the least of your worries – what about the sodium laurel sulphate, also used in washing up liquids and cleaning products to remove grease, and a known carcinogenic?? Let alone all the other nasty chemicals…..
My allergies:
Sodium Laurel Sulphate! Used in a lot of shampoos and shower gels, it makes my skin go dry and flakey and red raw – not a pretty sight.
Bell peppers make my body go on a massive purge in any way it can for days and days – last time a friend “jazzed up” a meal with some peppers and I found out too late, I spent 5 days being ill, then got taken into hospital with dehydration cos my body wouldn’t even accept water…
I don’t use washing up liquid, washing up is womens work

I also know someone who is allergic to cucumber and melon. Hmm, am sure there must be other things. Oh..my sister comes up in a rash if she touches monkeys, now don’t ask me how she found out about that one!
What kind of strange allergies or intolerances do you lot have, or know someone that has. I am expecting no reaction at all to this post for at least 24 hours, the boards are allergic to posters at the moment.

Phosphorus is also found in fertilisers, detergents, nerve agents, friction matches, fireworks, pesticides, and explosives. The Nazi’s also gave flouride to people in the camps during the war, and is also linked to various forms of cancer. So remember folks, when brushing yout teeth with that lovely flouride paste, you are putting toxic waste in ya gob, yum yum scrub scrub :P . Damn American and Africans!
Ultimately you either pay for software or you don’t, I have paid for software in the past.
I personally can’t say I have ever felt the price of any software was worth it’s price tag after purchasing it or felt it was value for money. And until we live in the world of George orwells “1984” everyone is free to play by the rules or not (I see 4 fingers :D)
People will always find a way around this, same with almost any protection system, that someone will find a way around it. I really don’t know why Microsoft bother.
If they was to make their products cheap enough for everyone to purchase legally, there would be no black market for pirate sellers, and everyone would buy the genuine thing in the first place.
Would you buy a car without test driving it? I see no problem in a “try before you buy”.
At least earlier version of windows gave you 30days I believe to activate windows before you got any messages. But as ever it’s all about greed and microsoft want your dosh.
Maybe If the big wigs put some of the fat scandalous profits into developing a better more secure system, everyone would not want to fck them over and not pay for there software.
Not bad at all, infact better than. Digital ready as well which means that I won’t have to fork out for another TV when we switch to digital next July/August – didn’t have that on the Samsung one, or a three year warranty. Delivery costs more but it looks better value for money. I’ll definetely be having a think about it.
Thanks :D
Delivery is free if you select super saver option (but it takes upto 5 days to arrive)
Well a tip for you, look for student license editions of windows and office. They are the exact same full products.
If you know where to look, they are there, and NEVER blocked by microsoft (at least not in the years I have known about them) and all update etc perfectly fine.
I must stress I am not condoning piracy, but just pointing out there is working ones out there that never have issues.
The one on play.com you found is 19″, this is a 22″.
This has a higher screen resolution than the 1 you found on play, which as i’m sure you are aware will make the picture better the higher the resolution.
3 times the contrast ratio of the play.com one.
Oh and this has freeview built in.
Anyhow worth a look, hope you find what’s right for you :)
