Far be it from me to halt the noble aspirations of humanity when it comes to humour  , but I do believe it disingenuous to say it’s erm.. disingenuous.. to link certain strands of humour as yours truly did in a previous post  .
The link is significant in that it illustrates the potency of humour in the most seemingly inappropriate of settings. Granted, an ability to see and seek humour during a personal loss does not give one carte blanche to traipse insensitivity over each and every tragic situation in life. I’m certainly not advocating a (metaphorical or otherwise) dancing on graves.
But, I feel (and of course what’s Pepper’s Paté may be another’s dogfood) that the release mechanism in the personal context may indeed be linked to some manner of Jungian super-consciousness when it comes to more widepread, universal jokemaking  .. hmm, maybe my dismissal of the nobility gig was a tad premature :-kOr maybe it isn’t? Maybe “cheap” shots prevail for the sake of it and nowt else? 8-[
Personally, I like to see the good in people.
I’m certainly not going to condemn the humour applied to this thread. In the face of such unimaginable horror – humanity’s ability to dream up, deflect and infuse must surely come to the fore.

I must really be having a feckin blind Sunday cos I still cannot see an argument for euthanasia and still view the deliberate killing of a disabled child today no different to Germany in the 1930’s.
Re read the original article again (as posted by Bat)- read the nightmare the mother went through for years and then read these two paragraphs at the end
“Those precious few moments when we think he is free from pain, and maybe ‘enjoying’ the feel of the wind on his cheeks mean everything to us.
What people forget when they look at Noah and say how sorry they are, is that we’re not. We’ve got a son we love and however different his life is – it is his life and a valid one“
Now again tell me what point is being raised here by those suggesting this child should be put down like a dog?
