Didn’t seem a patch on 1987 when I was blown all the way home while trying to do a paper round. But I didn’t have any power for 65 hours! Never had anything like that before. I actually find the damaged cables while out for one of my walks, but it still took two more days for them to be fixed.
Well, the short version would be that Annie turned down the offer as well. And in my story book type of world, it would because they are deeply in love and they accept and understand the laws of nature. The longer version would be a bit madder and I need a bit more time. :)
Very nice indeed and I can tell it is so you! If I was going to write a piece, then I guess I would ask the elf if he would make us both the same offer. Or I would write something totally nuts, surreal and rather silly! Thanks for being such a wonderful ‘sport’ Cherriepie. :)
Maybe she was tricked by the elf? Or maybe he was lying. Or possibly he couldn’t flip the hourglass anyway. Not that I would ever bad-mouth elves. How would you write the encounter between Annie and the elf, Cherriepie?
Really? I am usually on the ball with that sort of thing. I don’t see the poem as having that sort of message. I think it is much more about personal choice. :)
They both look better than the omelette I tried to cook in the dark the other day! Three days without power, which isn’t something I have experienced before.
Well I feel like I am getting both younger and older at the same time! Physically older and mentally younger!

By fertilisers and pesticides, I mean they rely on the use of oil. And oil is going to be more expensive and scarcer. So we need to gradually change our methods of agriculture and farming. Of course, there will always be a place for national and transnational business, but we do need to have a more locally-based economy. I am very much supportive of the ideas of the New Economics Foundation and I am a member of the Green Party.
What can I say? To be honest, I was hoping for an apology and a continuation with my introduction thread. I got the idea from a football message board – it worked very well on there! But I hate upsetting people, unless I feel it is absolutely necessary for the future of this planet and its inhabitants. So I can only apologise for making such a fuss. And I can tell he is troubled by my complaints, so I will say sorry to sceptical guy. I deny that I have been abusive though.
When my medical condition is at its worse, it is so difficult to be positive. And with arthritis, people just think you have stiff joints etc; but it affects the whole of me. Mouth ulcers, sore eyes and headaches and that is the main reason I am avoiding chat at the moment. I already spend enough time in front of my screen working. There are other symptoms too, but I won’t go into that just now. I am not looking for sympathy, just searching for a way to lead a more fulfilling life. I still feel young; I still feel full of energy and passion; and I can still be warm to people and make them laugh. Hopefully this will be with me, rather than at me!
Once again, I apologise for causing a scene. But I am having a bad decade!
