Sticking to my views folks. I know sceptical is very intelligent, with lots of qualities and essential on this board. And I don’t have any kind of malice; but sometimes you do have to stick up for yourself. I should have stayed out of here for a bit longer. Let the water flow under the bridge. Or maybe, I should have registered under a new name. But you wouldn’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to recognise my personality. Hopefully a longer break and some more time will improve the situation. Best wishes to everybody. :)

Well, I was mainly referring to a more local, greener economy. About 90% of profits made by companies go to the shareholders and these are remotely spread throughout the world. We need to keep more of the money local, to create real jobs and put money in people’s pocket. And local banks lending affordable loans to business is one way forward. Too much of our economy is based on finance and on gambling on the market. We do need banking, finance and insurance services; but more need to be spent on infrastructure and products that we actually need. And resources are finite, we rely so much on oil – not only for travel, but for most of the products we see in our homes. And of course in fertilisers and pesticides, which are so essential for our food supply.

I am sorry, but sneering at somebody is the worst kind of humour.

I agree, but what is the answer? We need to build a proper economy, much more locally-based, with businesses supplying things of value. And more sustainable of course.

What can I say? I was very cosy with a French American lady for a year and a half. And she wanted us to move even closer; so we started to spend two to four hours a day communicating. And I had a vision or a long-term plan for the future. But one day she just dropped me. No disagreements. Just too busy. And now, she hasn’t got time for me as a friend. An amazing person and I am always going to miss her. But at the same time, I do feel very let down.

I have some more videos and pictures that show the same sort of thing -humanity at its best. Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed the video. :)

I was disappointed with the disruption to my giants, er introduction thread. But of course, I forgive the person involved. But I am also sad people leave chat rooms without saying why or even goodbye; much worse than this, a dear friend who I met on another site, won’t answer my emails. I would guess when people say they want to get close, it is only until something else comes in up in real life. I am different and so I decided to stay. Back in the chat room next week, I hope. Talk to you some time Welsh. :)

I just want to be warm, humane and compassionate to people and I thought the introduction thread would be great way of doing that. And I feel scep was being really cynical and stopping me from doing that. And this is so important to me. But I am human an compassionate and I certainly don’t want to make people feel angry or sad. So no hard feelings or any problems with scep. :) Not sure about chatting again though.

    Warmly

    Martin
