12 September, 2006 at 7:59 pm #241191staret simple i say, looks like for a new starter you are trying too much… everyone has got to start somewhere, i have only recently started myself, and i think its a great feeling when its all done, apart from then you see the washing up, and think shyte.. wish i went to pizza hut instead
11 September, 2006 at 8:33 am #240015gerrard is the best midfielder in the world at the moment, without a doubt, but yes he was outclassed by a determined phil neville on saturday, osman looks good to, and will surly get a call up soon, why not drop lampard and give the youngster a go
Defoe is struggling for confidence, a move to portsmouth might be ideal for him, working with harry again, who i can’t beleive he never got a mention when it came to the national job, if you look at the england team, he is the one man responsible for nearly 1/4 of the current squad in his time at west ham, that says somthing in itself
good victory for sunderland, keane will get them fireing for sure, but nothing to get carried away, derby have also had a very poor start to the season too

I’m a big fan of Darren Bent. He’s already scored 3 goals in 3 games? He’ll add a load of goals to that number this season I believe.
Yip….Quality little striker. If he was at United, Arsenal, or Chelsea..He would have played for England in the week. Just goes to show really, doesn’t it? Players arn’t always picked on ability, goalscoring record or other simularities..But players are picked if you are with a top 5 team
same with andy johnson, he was quailty today, world class standard, to wonder why he only has had 15 mins of football with england is beyond me, i don’t think him and rooney would link up too well mind, but crouch and johnson would have been a good partnership
well played Everton too, looked impressive at times, top quailty football

7 September, 2006 at 12:01 am #239998i’m just saying, we will qualfiy, thats it… the european championships we will get intrested again, would have much prefered england to have a tougher group to be honest, look forward to a game against somone like germany, or italy ect ect.. instead.. all we got is russia and croatia, hardly ground breaking if we beat them, not much of a confidence booster
