So, we have to work within the confines of that.. .much as a lot of people would like to see people hung for these crimes. The next best thing is to ensure that the punishment fits the crime.

I do not believe any human being has the right to take another’s life.

I think chemical castration is a way of releasing people back into society as “safe”. I don’t know how much of a deterrant it would be. Now the real thing… that might work, but I doubt it would be allowed.

If they have a mental disability it is taken into account when passing judgment. But many many people commit atrocities because they want to, because they can, and because they don’t fear the consequences.
