Its all Stalin’s fault! He did what the British Empire did and drew border lines where the hell he wanted.

The Ossetians are a strange lot, they seem to believe that King Arthur.. the one with the sword and the round table, came from Ossetia.

Personally, I love the North. Who would want to move down South unless they absolutely had to? I lived in London when I was younger, but would never want to move back there now. And Oxford and Cambridge are nice enough to visit, but wouldn’t want to live near either of them.

To misquote Samual Johnson, He who is tired of the North is tired of life, for there is in the North all that life can afford.

According to a report out today, the millions of pounds worth of money invested in some towns in the North (Sunderland and Hull for example) will never regenerate the areas, and people should accept defeat and just move South. The academic who wrote the report said that green belt restrictions should be relaxed so that 3 million homes can be built near Oxford and Cambridge.

Some of the arguments are that whereas 100 to 200 years ago the North had good links to trade because of shipping. Now, with close ties with Europe, the South has the advantage, as the rest of Europe is errr South. And, that no amount of money will encourage businesses to move into cities which are dying.

I think that was the gist of it anyway.

    What say you all?

Wasn’t the academic who wrote it a German?

He is called Tim Leunig. But he sounded English when I saw him being interviewed on the news.

I think the North gets its fair share of foreigners, but the South East is much too full as it is in my opinion. A good many people already relocate to where the jobs are anyway, and if that means South, they come South.

But should a massive amount of people really give up on their home towns and move?

For someone who is not a toy or a bull or a dog, he is nice to play with, talks a load of bull and has fleas and a cheese-cake flavoured lamp-post fettish.

Trick is to take the ducks off the wall before you start.

I had a boyfriend who wore bright pink shirts, he looked stunning in them. And do you remember the bit in the Great Gatsby where Robert Redford had all his shirts out all over the bed…one of every shade and colour?
