Don’t you split hairs with me…. if you are going to just answer with an acronym then how am i supposed to get any depth to your response? You chose to make a vague post, and I just answered it.
“Not in my back yard” was your post. Now how many ways are there to interpret that hmm? Or were we all supposed to think you were so clever and that we wouldn’t know what it meant?
The lack of insight into another country is bordering on criminal. I used to complain that the Americans were insular and bigotted, that when they said World News, it would say “today in Chicago” or “today in Ohio” and nothing about the rest of the world was mentioned at all. This was a personal observation at a time that Iraq and Iran were at war. I knew it was happening, but not a single mention on the news in the States at all the whole time I was there.
Are we now the same as huge areas of America in that we don’t give a damn about the rest of the world as long as we are okay?
The war in Rwanda was horrific and the results will take a long time to sort out, if it ever can be sorted out.

That is exactly what they should do. And if I assume that this small child is from Rwanda, then that is what they are trying to do. They have started by putting water bores down to the water table in towns to provide clean water, but the outlying rural areas are going to take time to sort out.
